We shall use this information only in a manner which would be beneficial to our customers. This policy is applicable to all existing or prospective customers and persons (“User”, “Customer”) and/or any ‘Digital Property’ belonging to TEC. By using our website/application and by availing various products/services from TEC, you consent to the terms of this Privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) in addition to the terms of use of the mobile application, website and product documents. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy from time to time to keep yourself updated with the changes we make to this Policy.

1. Data/Information Collection

Confidential information which is in the nature of personal/sensitive personal information or demographic information of the User provided to TEC online or offline ( i.e. Name, age, date of birth, gender, address, mobile number, email ID, PAN number, photograph/image, KYC documents provided by you or collected from CKYC registry/ Aadhar Authority/ Digi locker, bank account details, credit scores, GST details, provident fund account details, provided to TEC through mobile application, website and/or at the time of availing various financial services).

Information collected by TEC, which is collected with the consent of the User by reading the SMS and email regarding billers, EMI reminders and EMI payment confirmations to identify the billers that the User interacts with or for facilitating auto read OTP.

For brevity’s sake, the above types of information are collectively referred to as “Information” in this Policy. We would ensure that we collect personal information only to the extent it is necessary to administer our services in the best possible manner and what is required under the various regulations as per the Laws of India.

2. Purpose of Information Collection

We may process the contact data, account data, transaction data and/or communication data for the purposes of managing our relationships, and communicating with you (excluding communicating for the purposes of direct marketing) by email, SMS, post, fax and/or telephone, providing support services and complaint handling. We ensure that the complaints will be looked into by our team personally and you will receive a response for the same within 30 days.

5. Data Retention

We will always retain all the data and information received from you through this Website. However, if our Website faces any potential risks, fraud, cheating, misuse and other criminal threats due to the data and information provided by you, we reserve the right to inform you immediately and take appropriate legal actions against the same. Additionally, due to these potential possibilities, The EMI Club also reserves the right to retain all such information (wholly or in part) and immediately report to the same to concerned Authorities as may be required under law, if the need be.

6. Consequences of Default

The EMI Club’s policy aims at recovery of its dues in the event of default and is not aimed at whimsical deprivation of the property offered to you. In the event of a default in payment of EMI instalment on the scheduled date, we reserve the right to restrict your use of the mobile phone including locking all the apps on your mobile phone. Locking of applications restricts the user from engaging in regular use of any such application for the time being until the payment of the defaulted EMI instalment. Unlocking applications shall be additionally charged at INR 399 + GST per default. We assure you that we shall not have any unauthorised access to any application data or User information saved on the mobile phone when the mobile phone apps are locked by us.

7. Amendment of Privacy Policy

TEC may amend/update the Privacy Policy from time to time as required under law. Thus, the User is advised to review this page periodically for any changes, since any such changes will be effective immediately after they are updated/posted on this page.
